Google Pay has gone live in Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal and Romania with support for Mastercard[4] and Visa[5] cards issued by participating banks and card issuers.

The payments service will support Mastercard cards issued by “various issuers and fintechs including but not limited to Banca Transilvania[6], Bunq[7], CEC Bank[8], Curve[9], LHV Bank[10], Monese[11], N26[12], Paynetics[13], Revolut[14], Swedbank[15], Unicredit Bank Romania[16] and Viva Wallet[17],” Mastercard says.

It will also support Visa cards issued by Revolut in all 10 countries as well as Visa cards issued in Romania by Alpha Bank[18], Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, ING Bank Romania[19], Orange Money[20] and UniCredit Bank, according to Google Pay’s support pages[21].
